Merchants River House
Merchants River House is a casual eatery facing the Hudson River and the Statue of Liberty and makes a great place to relax and watch the sun set. Located on the Esplanade a short walk from the park, there is indoor and outdoor seating. The menu includes typical American fare like burgers, pizza, steaks and salads. For the kids, there's alway mac & cheese and chicken fingers.

The folks at Izzy And Nat's offer up typical deli food and fresh local foods; a local favorite for breakfast and late night snacks.
This popular Battery Park-area eatery offers windows galore — from floor to ceiling — to offer breathtaking views of the river and the city skyline. What they refer to as "contemporary southwestern cuisine" is complemented with steak, seafood and kid-friendly fare like chicken fingers. Outdoor seating is available in the warmer-weather months.
Blockheads Burritos is a short walk from Battery Park in the financial district. It features tacos, burritos and other Mexican fare.
Battery Gardens on State Street at the southern tip of Battery Park offers spectacular views of the river, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The menu features primarily seafood and specializes in Foie Gras and Asparagus Risotto.
If you're thinking sushi, then Asian Fusion on Stone is a nice local option. The restaurant actually mixes Asian style foods including Thai and Japanese. It's located on Stone Street in the financial district.
Another option for sushi is Zaytuna, an upscale diner with sushi, sandwiches, soups, wraps and even breakfast foods located inside a grocery mall of the same name on Battery Place right near the park.
If "soup for you" is what you're in the mood for then the obvious selection would be Souperman. Aside from the namesake item, Souperman offers salads, drinks, sandwiches and other typical lunchtime fare. Popular offerings include Wild Mussel Soup with Potatoes and Saffron, and Chicken with Orzo.
Adrienne's Pizzabar on Stone Street features more than just pizza. The menu includes antipasto, spaghetti, meatballs, chicken parmigiana and cannolis for dessert. There's also an extensive beer, wine and cocktail list. There's outdoor seating on the historic cobblestone street.
Harry's Steak on Pearl Street gets good to excellent ratings and features mostly steaks, but also seafood and American finger foods. Located in Hanover Square, it's about a third of a mile from the park.
